How the days unfold

  1. Day 1

    Srinagar – Aharbal – Pahalgam · Pickup in Srinagar and drive via Shopian to Aharbal, the waterfall often called the Niagara of Kashmir — good for photos and a picnic. Continue to Pahalgam. Overnight in Pahalgam.

  2. Day 2

    Pahalgam sightseeing · A full day in Pahalgam, where the Lidder and Sheshnag rivers meet. Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari by union taxi, Mamleshwar temple, the golf course, or a pony ride to Baisaran. Evening stroll in Pahalgam market.

  3. Day 3

    Pahalgam – Daksum · Drive through apple orchards and village roads to Daksum, a quiet pine valley below Sinthan Top. Overnight at Daksum.

  4. Day 4

    Sinthan Top – Srinagar · Up over Sinthan Top and on to Srinagar. Evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake past the floating market and Char Chinari. Overnight in Srinagar.

  5. Day 5

    Srinagar sightseeing · Mughal gardens — Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi — Pari Mahal, Shankaracharya hill and Hazratbal shrine, with time for the Dal Lake markets.

  6. Day 6

    Gulmarg day trip · Gondola, pony rides, ATV or skiing in season. Back to Srinagar for the night. Book Gondola tickets in advance.

  7. Day 7

    Sonamarg day trip · Ponies to Thajiwas Glacier, Zero Point (Zojila) by union taxi. Back to Srinagar for the night.

  8. Day 8

    Doodhpathri day trip · The "valley of milk" — grassy slopes and cold streams over big stones, with Tosamaidan just to the west. Tonight you move to a houseboat on Dal Lake.

  9. Day 9

    Departure · Breakfast on the houseboat and drop at Srinagar Airport.

For groups who have time and want more than the standard three-town loop. Aharbal and Daksum are quiet, green and far less crowded, and the Sinthan Top crossing is one of the prettiest drives in the valley.

Good to know

  • The Sinthan Top road is usually open May to October. Outside that window we route back to Srinagar via Anantnag.

Winter season inclusions note (2026–27)

This package is priced for the snow season on a MAP basis (daily breakfast & dinner) with 3-star (or equivalent) stays unless you upgrade in writing. In Gulmarg, we plan around the cable car (Gondola), snow play, and — on request — snowmobile, sledging, or beginner ski hire (activity fees usually payable on ground unless your written quote adds them).

Union cabs / local union taxis are NOT included at Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, or other sightseeing zones. Your package covers the KTC private tour vehicle for airport transfers and inter-town drives as per itinerary. Local union segments, snow-chain cabs (Tangmarg–Gulmarg in heavy snow), ponies, and adventure tickets are extras unless confirmed in writing.
