These Travel Policies sit alongside our Terms of Service. Exact fees and free-change windows for your trip are confirmed in writing before you pay. When in doubt, enquire and we will spell out the numbers for your dates.
Cancellation windows
Because hotels and transport in Kashmir often apply their own cut-offs, we use the following as a default framework unless your confirmation states otherwise:
- Before deposit / unconfirmed quote: no charge — quotes are indicative until written confirmation.
- 31+ days before arrival: deposit may be refundable minus any non-refundable supplier hold we have already paid on your behalf; we share that breakdown when you cancel.
- 15–30 days before arrival: partial refund may apply; hotel and peak-season transport deposits are often partly or fully non-refundable.
- 14 days or fewer / no-show: typically non-refundable for prepaid components; unused nights or vehicles follow supplier rules.
- Same-day or in-trip changes: charged at cost for new services; unused segments are rarely refundable once the day has started.
Peak periods (winter snow windows, long weekends, festivals) may have stricter supplier terms — those override the defaults above when stated on your confirmation.
Refunds & amendments
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible, after we receive supplier credits.
- Bank and gateway timelines vary; allow several business days after we confirm the refund amount.
- Date or hotel amendments are treated as a change request: we reprice availability and apply any difference plus supplier change fees.
- Name corrections for hotels should be requested as early as possible; late ID mismatches can cause check-in issues that we cannot always fix.
Response SLA
We typically reply to enquiries and messages within 24 hours on business days (India time, Srinagar-based team). Complex custom itineraries or peak season may take longer; urgent same-day travel requests should say so clearly in the subject or first line. After hours and weekends, we respond as soon as we can on the next business day unless your confirmed trip needs operational support.
Safety
- We share current local guidance with every confirmed outline and update you if conditions change before travel.
- Drivers and guides may pause or alter a route when roads, weather, or official advice make continuation unsafe.
- High-altitude and winter travel require sensible clothing, hydration, and pacing — tell us about medical or mobility needs when you enquire.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended; we are not an insurer.
Weather & road conditions
Road and gondola access in Kashmir can change with snow, landslides, fog, or administrative restrictions. Buffers are part of good pacing. If we must replan for safety or access:
- We propose equivalent alternatives where available (route, hotel, or activity swaps).
- Cost differences are handled transparently — you approve extras before we commit where practical.
- Refunds for closed attractions follow supplier and operator rules; see also force majeure in our Terms.
